I know that being a mom can be a super stressful , you get to ask yourself whether you are doing everything okay, whether you are doing enough . Being a mom is a rewarding mom but you do not have to run yourself ragged trying to do everything, trying to make sure everything in place. Optimize your day in such a way that everything is in its own place and again prioritize self-care. Always remember a well balanced mom means that you can give your very best to you kids. Here is a list of things lifestyle hacks that l incorporate to ensure that l give my children the very best me:
1)Morning routine
I have a planned morning routine that works for me, for example working up at 6 am in the morning 30 minutes before my kids woke up ensure that l have time for a morning cup of coffee and to do my stretches before my kids woke up and by the time they wake up l will be optimized, showered and ready to run them through their own morning routine as well. I also try to do things the same way every morning that way my children knows what goes after what and nothing gets overlooked.
2)Work and life balances
Plan your week in such a way that you can make a killer career and at the same time being available for your children activities. Make sure that twenty-four hours out of your day gets accounted for and you gets the very best out of it. Carve also some quality time for your family which we call bonding sessions in our house.
3) Children activities
Encourage your children to be independent from a young age. Involve them in decisions like their extra-curricular activities and try to listen to them when they are airing out their views. It instils in them a confidence that they are heard and seen. On your off days try to spend time with them, like taking them to the park or even to the ice-cream shops.
4) Self-care Strategies
Remeber that you can’t pour from an empty cup! Explore simple self -care practices that wont at the same time hurt your pocket such as taking a walk, enjoying your new hobby or even taking time to recharge. That way you will have enough energy to meet each and every trouble that you meet in your day.
5) Meal Planning
A well planned kitchen makes sure that your family eats healthy and nutritious meals. Batch cooking and meal preping during the weekend can save you valuable time during meal planning in the week. Preparing school lunch – boxes the previous night also saves you time in the morning.
